Bon Voyage Blog Hop

Welcome to Port of Call #7 on Stampin' Addicts 2009 Bon Voyage Blog Hop!

Nestled snugly between Ports of Call #6 (Connie's Bella Blossom) and #8 (Barbara's Blooming with Love), here we explore Stampin' Up!'s hidden versatility of Happy Heart Day
.

One announcement before disembarking: the tour links are only active through 11:59 pm Tuesday June 16; after that, many hostesses will post more details on projects you see today. Bookmark your favorite stops now--on return visits, you'll bypass customs & immigration and go straight to the fun!

I want to try to show you that even though this looks like a Valentine's Day set, it can be so much more. I will be sharing directions of how to create all of the fancy folds you will see today later in the week. So stay tuned.

I am going to start with a Valentine. This cute little card is made using a "Triangle Trifold". It looks sort of complicated but it actually isn't.

Stamps: Happy Heart Day (Last Chance)
Paper: Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (Last Chance), Very Vanilla Cardstock, Pink Pirouette Cardstock (Last Chance), Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Riding Hood Red Card Stock (Last Chance)
Ink: Riding Hood Red Classic Ink (Last Chance), Pink Pirouette Classic Ink (Last Chance), Sahara Sand Classic Ink, Going Gray Stampin' Write Marker, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon
Tools Used: Blender Pen

This set includes a great little Thank You that works great with the other images in set to make something for that special someone. This card fold flat for mailing but can stand up on its own for display.

Stamps: Happy Heart Day
Paper: Whisper White Cardstock, Garden Green Cardstock, Rose Red Cardstock
Ink: Going Gray Classic Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink, Rose Red Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Pewter Build-a-Brad, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Crystal Effects
Tools Used: Tempting Turquoise Watercolor Wonder Crayon, Rose Red Watercolor Wonder Crayon, Garden Green Watercolor Wonder Crayon, Aqua Painter, Big Shot, Flourish Stampin' Up Backgrounds I Texturz Plates

For my last project I want to show you the great way to use the images from this set with sentiments from other sets to create cards for any occasion.

Stamps: Happy Heart Day (Last Chance), Hugs & Wishes (Last Chance)
Paper: Riding Hood Red Cardstock (Last Chance), Bashful Blue Cardstock (Last Chance), Washington Apple Designer Series Paper (Last Chance), Whisper White Cardstock, So Saffron Cardstock
Ink: Riding Hood Red Classic Ink (Last Chance), Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink, Bashful Blue Classic Ink, So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals
Tools Used: Blender Pen, Sponge Daubers, Big Shot, Small Dots Stampin' Up Backgrounds I Texturz Plates, Scallop Oval Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Paper Snips

I have also seen the elephant made up with flowers over the hearts to take away from the Valentine feel of it. I love your projects. They turned out beautifully.
