Patterns Designer Series Paper

Welcome to stop #9 of 24 on Stampin' Addicts' Parade of Papers blog hop! You may have just arrived from Stitchin' N Stampin' on Paper, or this may be your first stop. Either way, all the links will take you in circle, and you'll end up back where you began. But remember, these link will disappear at midnight on Sunday night! Be sure to bookmark or subscribe to the blogs that you love! You'll find the link to the next blog at the bottom of this post.

I am excited to be featuring the versatile Patterns Designer Series Paper. This paper is available to purchase in fourteen monochromatic colors. There are two sheets of each of the six double sided papers Today I will be featuring Old Olive, Riding Hood Red and Bashful Blue. Just like all of the Designer Series Papers, it is included in Stampin' Up's May special of buy 3 get 1 free! In addition to the papers that are available for purchase there is Patterns paper that is a Level 1 Hostess Set. This hostess set is comprised of 60 sheets of 6" x 6" paper in five colors. These five colors are Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Brocade Blue, Basic Gray and Garden Green. I will show you Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal & Brocade Blue.

So before we begin, I am going to offer some blog candy. Leave me a comment telling me what is your favorite project. One lucky winner will receive all of the supplies to make my first project. (Sorry you will have to supply your own sticky strip.)

I love the Matchbox Big Shot die there are so many things that you can make with it and the boxes are so easy to put together. In addition to Designer Series Paper I used same of Stampin’ Up’s Textured cardstock which is also included in this month’s Buy 3 Get 1 Free.

Paper: Bashful Blue Patterns Designer Series Paper, Regal Rose Textured Cardstock
Accessories: Filigree Designer Brads, Pretties Halfback Pearls, Rose Red 1” Double-Stitched Ribbon, Brocade Blue 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware 1/2" Flower Brad
Tools Used: Big Shot, Matchbox Bigz XL Die

I made a gift box of cards to give a friend for her birthday. I also made fifteen 3x3 cards with envelopes to go in the box for her to use a gift enclosures. I made all of these cards & I only used one piece of Designer Series Paper & I still have some scraps to use on another project.

Ink: Pacific Point Classic Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink, Riding Hood Red Classic Ink

Tools Used: Big Shot, Simple Flower Embosslit Die, 3/16” Corner Rounder

My Mother-in-law just celebrated her birthday & this is the card I made for her. Since I was making a quilt I was able to use up some scrap pieces of the Designer Series Paper Level One Hostess Set. You just never know what you will be able to do with leftover pieces. (You can see all of the patterns that are included in the paper.)

Stamps: Cute & Curly, Bitty Birthday, Simply Said
Paper: Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, and Brocade Blue from Hostess set Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper II, Whisper White Cardstock, Regal Rose Textured Cardstock

I made this bag to give to my Mom for Mother’s Day. You may notice that the words in the stamp image are in French. This stamp is from the new Occasions Mini catalog & for the first time the French language stamps that are normally only available in Canada are available in the US. My mom & I both speak some French so I was excited to finally be able to get some French stamps.

Stamps: En Ovale (Oval All)
Paper: Old Olive Patterns Designer Series Paper, Pink Pirouette Cardstock
Ink: Silver Encore Ink, Elegant Eggplant Reinker
Accessories: Clear Rhinestone Brad, Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Pretties White Flower

Mother’s Day is this weekend but Father’s Day is just around the corner. This is what I came up with as a present for my Dad. I made the tie on the card using the solid piece of Designer Series Paper. I then texturized the paper using the big shot & I sanded the paper a bit to show the white core. (This is something you can only do with the Designer Series Paper since our cardstocks are colored all the way through.)

Stamps: Holiday Blitz, Thank You Kindly
Paper: Old Olive Patterns Designer Series Paper, Not Quite Navy Cardstock, Thick Window Sheets
Ink: Not Quite Navy Classic Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink, Basic Back Stampin’ Write Marker, Not Quite Navy Stampin’ Write Marker
